Camp is for those who desire to improve.

June 8, 2012 - The world of basketball skill development has exploded in the last few years, with trainers and events becoming almost as ubiquitous as the Golden Arches; in every town it’s not hard to find a McDonalds. Likewise for those purporting to teach the skills of basketball.

As with anything, all individuals/events are not the same. Rest assured the 2012 Sam Young Pro Skills Academy will deliver as promised.

Scheduled for Oxon Hill High School, June 25th – 29th and July 9 -13, the SYPSA will focus on intense skill development, delivered in a professional manner. Its organizers, Sam Young – a professional with the National Basketball Association’s Philadelphia 76’ers – and Clinton Crouch – a local coach and trainer that has worked with both pros and amateurs – will see to it.

“Sam and I are both blessed enough to be in positions” to help “the younger generations set, reach and exceed their goals and dreams” revealed Crouch when asked why the camp was developed. “Sam wanted to build something athat will last for years to come and so we came up with the Same Young Pro Skills Academy. This will be an outlet for serious, young student-athletes to pursue something they love”.

During each session, games of one on one, three on three and full five man affairs will occur over a 9a – 3p time slate. Skills competitions will also occur, along with professional-caliber drilling and instruction.

Boys ages 8 -18 are invited to register, via www.CoachCrouch.com. Cost is $175 per week. Extended care (7:30a – 9a/3p – 5p) is an extra $40 per session. If both sessions are opted for, a $25 discount will be applied.

Commenting further on his mindset and motivation, Crouch noted “There is no such thing as a self-made success story. All of us, somewhere along the way, got a helping hand. Sam and I just want to be one of those extended hands for a young person that is serious about being successful”.

Those who are serious about getting better and becoming successful in hoops, the Sam Young Pro Skills Academy is just the thing.
