Martin Luther King Holiday Basketball Tournament
Washington, DC – The Washington DC Martin Luther King Holiday Basketball
Tournament will take place at the Mary Virginia Merrick Community Center
4275 4th Street SE. Washington DC on January 19th, 20th and 21st.
The tournament will featureeight Boys and eight Girls high school basketball
teams from Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. This will be third year
in a row that the tournament will be played at Mary Virginia Merrick Community
Center.

National Collegiate Prep is an up and coming
team.
This year’s Girl’s field will feature the following teams:
Wilson (DC) ,Washington Latin(DC), Anacostia(DC,) The Miller School( VA),
Ballou (DC), MATHS (MD ), Takoma Academy (MD) and Coppin Academy (MD 2011
Tournament Champions).
The Boy’s field will feature the following teams: Washington Latin
(DC), Ballou (DC), Capital City International (MD), Takoma Academy (MD),
MATHS (MD), and National Collegiate Prep. (DC), Silver Oak Academy (MD),
and Anacostia (DC) 2012 Tournament Champions.
Tickets are available at the door each day. Adults/ Students $8.Children
under 12 $4
The Washington DC Martin Luther King Holiday Basketball Tournament provides
team’s the opportunity to compete in front of college scouts in
an intense championship type setting. Tournament Director Kevin Wills
said “We are looking forward to seeing vocal fans from each school
community and stiff competition from each school.”
