August 8, 2014 - Wednesday concluded the i95Ballerz.com Summer League, with Potomac (MD) being crowned champion for the second year in a row. All hail the Wolverines.

Junior guard Randall Broddie earned league MVP honors. First and second all-league teams are forthcoming shortly.
Following is a recap of the championship game.

Randall Broddie, i95Ballerz.com Summer League, MVP.

Potomac 47 Capital Christian 42

After suffering an early torrid Capital Christian (MD) shooting spree - they went 5-5, racing to a 20-9 lead - Potomac trailed 31-20 at halftime. By 8:10 remaining in the game they took their first lead at 37-36 after a Camron Green stick back and kept C.C. at bay down the stretch.

Jordan Hill scored 11 points for the victors, who used greater defensive pressure to ultimately prevail. Broddie admitted he was fatigued and scored eight points along with Anthony 'Rook' Smith. That pair, Potomac's current big hitters took a back seat on point production to Fitzhugh Davis and Jordan Hill, who scored 10 and 11 points respectively.

"You know, I saw them play yesterday. I expected them to be a tough team" said Broddie afterward. "I just got done playing at Georgetown, was kind of tired. But I knew I had to pull through".

Kwame Camon, as he's done frequently during i95Ballerz.com Summer League competition led the C.C. Warriors with 11 points.

The Potomac Wolverines, winners.
