October 17, 2012 - Mike Mayhew rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown as North Carolina A&T defeated the Howard Bison 38-10 in Greensboro, last Saturday.

The Aggies rushed for 242 yards. Ricky Lewis rushed for 76 yards and Lewis Kindle added 28 yards as the Aggies ground game controlled the clock and dominated the line of scrimmage.

“We needed to go to these guys.” A&T head coach
Rod Broadway said at his post game press conference. “We
needed to run downhill, and when Mike is running downhill,
he is something".

Bison kicker Parker Munoz kicked a 37 yard field goal
with 30 minutes remaining as the Aggies held a 14-10 halftime lead.

A&T scored 24 unanswered points in the second half
aided by two interceptions returned for touchdowns.

Mike Mayhew for his efforts became the MEAC’s 11th.
all time leading with rusher with a career total of 3,056 yards.
North Carolina A&T improved to 3-3, (1-2) in MEAC
conference play.

Howard suffered their first loss in conference play
dropping to 4-2, (3-1). Howard will host Morgan State at Greene stadium in Washington, nd it’s the Bison homecoming. The kickoff is set for 1P.

N.C.A.& T will travel to Dover to face Delaware State for
a 1:30p kickoff.

Bison quarterback Greg McGhee and the HU offense did not have a banner day against A&T.

In the battle of the Tidewater area Hampton defeated
Norfolk State 28-14.

Jeremiah Schwartz rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Pirates. Hampton has now defeated Norfolk State eight consecutive games at home.

Norfolk State quarterback Jake Basmagian threw four
Interceptions, one which was returned for a touchdown.

Hampton improved to 1-4, (1-2) in MEAC play. Norfolk State dropped to 2-5 (0-4) in conference play.

Delaware State defeated South Carolina State 31-17
at Dover. The Hornets improved to 3-3, (2-1) in the MEAC. The Bulldogs dropped to 2-5, (1-3).

North Carolina Central remained undefeated in MEAC
play with their 24-20 win over Morgan State in Baltimore. The Eagles are now 4-2, (3-0) in the conference.
Morgan dropped to 3-3, (1-2).

Florida A&M beat Savannah State 44-3. The Rattlers
improved to 3-4, (3-1) in conference play. Savannah State dropped to 0-6, (0-4) in the conference.

in ACC play. Freshman Stefon Diggs returned the opening kickoff 100 yards to jump start the Terrapins to a 7-0 lead. Diggs also caught four passes for 89 yards.

LSU (6-1) travels toTexas A&M Saturday. South Carolina

Oklahoma blasted Texas 63-21 as the Longhorns have

me the gate. The Buckeyes came to town escaped with a
52-49 win over the Hoosiers who welcomed 48,800 fans
in attendance. That was more than the 45,000 fans that
showed for homecoming and the Spartans of Michigan State.
Ohio State improved to 7-0 on the season.

Florida State pounded Boston College 51-7 taking
their frustration out on the Eagles. The Seminoles lost to
N.C. State last week and took the visitors to the wood shed.
Witnessing the carnarge was ($) 81,075 patrons.

Kansas State improved to 6-0 with their 27-21 win
over Iowa State on the road. The Wildcats travel to Morgantown to face wounded West Virginia Saturday, which will be televised nationally on FOX network.

Alcorn State dropped Alabama A&M from the ranks of
the unbeaten defeating the Bulldogs 21-20. To make matters
worse the Bulldogs had just cracked the top 20 poll and it was homecoming! A&M fell to 6-1 on the season. Alcorn State improved to 3-4.

shootout. It was Tech’s first loss of the season as they fell to
5-1. A&M has never loss to Tech in their previous 11
meetings.

Oregon State (6-0) defeated Utah 42-24. and let

Wolverines defeated homecoming guest Illinois 45-0 to
