New H.S. Basketball Event Tips Off in P.G. County, MD

Washington, D.C. (November 25, 2012) – The DMV Tip-Off Classic has finalized its game schedule for its first annual showcase, which will be played on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, MD.

John Davis, here dunking during summer workouts, is could be poised for a breakout junior season.

The Classic will begin at 12pm with the following schedule:

12:00pm National Christian (Ft. Washington, MD) vs. Quality Education (Winston-Salem, NC)
1:45pm Massanutten Prep (Woodstock, VA) vs. Mt. Zion Prep (Baltimore, MD)
3:30pm St. John's (Washington, DC) vs. Suitland (District Heights, MD)
5:15pm Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD) vs. Wise (Upper Marlboro, MD)
7:00pm Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD) vs. Princeton Day (Lanham, MD)
8:45pm DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD) vs. North Point (Waldorf, MD)

The Classic will feature several nationally-ranked players. Frank Mason (Massanutten Prep), Roddy Peters (Suitland), Aquille Carr (Princeton Day), BeeJay Anya (DeMatha) and Jairus Lyles (DeMatha) are all ranked in the top 150 in the nation. All five have committed to Division I programs: Mason (Kansas), Peters (Maryland), Carr (Seton Hall), Anya (NC State) and Lyles (VCU).

Tickets will be available at the door the day of the game. Admission will be $15 for adults and $10 for students, but will be free for children under the age of seven.
