The area again has participants.

June 12, 2013 - This week marks National Basketball Association Players Association Top 100 time; many consider it the nation's premier high school aged boys basketball camp, as it boasts players regardless of shoe company affiliation. Held at the University of Virginia, this confab is certainly talent-laden, and also provides campers with educational as well as hoops opportunities, thereby rounding out their experience.

As usual, DMV guys will be in attendance, some years more participate than others - three are in the house Wednesday through Satuurday: Romelo Trimble, Chinua Onuaku, and Dion Wiley, of DC Assault/O'Connell, DC Assault/Riverdale Baptist, and Team Takeover/Potomac, respectively.

Takeover has another attendee - Phil Booth - who hails from Columbia, MD and study's at Baltimore's Mt. St. Joes. Joining him from the Charm City is St. Frances' Dwayne Morgan, who hits the travel circuit with Baltimore Elite. The final two might not be considered DMV guys by purists, but are well known local entities nonetheless.

Good luck to them, as this event can cement national recruiting pedigree. Just ask Roddy Peters and Nat Britt, a pair of DMV guards who lit up last year's NBAPA TOP 100 camp, catapulting their recruitment upward, helping them in part to land at UNC (Britt) and Maryland (Peters).
