The last and final installment featuring talented Big Shots: DC Certified players is here.

Kuran Iverson – 6’8”, 180 pound, Class of 2013 swingman, Long Island Lightning, Northwest (CT) – Rangy and athletic, Iverson is a top level talent who can shoot, pat, and pass. Add finishing to his skill set as well.

Not the strongest player – in his upper body and legs – Iverson must hit the weights which will allow him to take the bump when driving and play with more force. Kuran also recognized he has a tendency to settle for jumpers that must be addressed; more strength will also help that improvement.

UConn, Kentucky, Florida, FSU, Pitt, Villanova, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma have all expressed interest. He expressed a desire to play for “a program that gets up and down”.

Kuran Iverson is a talented, long player with perimeter skills.

Jonathan Milligan – 6’2”, 175 pound, class of 2013 guard, D-One Sports, Christian Faith Center (NC) – Described as a “diamond in the rough” by D-One head guy Kendrick Williams, Milligan is a combo guard that will hit spot up jumpers regularly. He’ll also slash to the cup.

Originally from Arizona, Milligan needs to be more of a drive and kick/dish guy in college. ODU, NC State, Xavier, Western Kentucky, GA Tech and Oral Roberts, amongst others, have expressed interest.

Larry Richardson – 6’3”, 180 pound, Class of 2013 guard, D-One Sports, Garner (NC) – A super athlete, Richardson is a top level slasher, who finishes with the best of them. The future is bright Richardson.

Richardson is a two guard on the next level. A slew of schools have inquired, including NC State, Xavier and Wake Forest.

His biggest weakness is consistency with the long ball; he can shoot it, but desires to hit them at a 40% clip.

Shane Whitfield, rumbling to the hoop.

Shane Whitfield – 6’7”, 215 pound, Class of 2013 forward, NC Xpress Elite, Word of God (NC) – Having recently worked on his finishing and ball handling, Whitfield excels in the open floor where he runs and finish generally via a strong layup. He welcomes contact on those plays. Will rebound also.

He hit a few jumpers, but it does seem a point of necessary development. Must continue to work on his halfcourt ball patting as well.

Offers have been received from American, Towson, Bucknell, Boston U, Georgia Southern, UNC – Wilmington, JMU and George Mason. The likes of Murray State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Clemson and Xavier are monitoring him for improvement in patting and shooting.
